Biography

Dr. Bilal Azakir is an Associate Professor of Medical Biochemistry at the Faculty of Medicine, Beirut Arab University (BAU), with extensive experience in biomedical research, medical education, and research ethics. He serves as Head of the Molecular and Translational Medicine Laboratory and Director of research program at the Faculty. His academic work encompasses molecular and translational medicine research in cancer biology and neuromuscular dystrophies.

He has particular expertise in Bioethics and responsible conduct of research, and is actively involved in institutional review boards and ethics committees.
